Ropes cross, loops tighten, and somewhere in there is the one peg that unlocks everything. Move it and the knot falls open.
Untangle puzzles live or die on readability — you have to be able to see the solution before you can find it. Most of the work on Tangle Masters went into making a mess of rope legible at a glance.
